District Judge Suppresses Unconstitutional Vehicle Stop

A Chester County District Judge suppressed an officer’s stop of a Lancaster man’s vehicle, resulting in the dismissal of his Driving on a DUI Suspended License charge.  Prior to trial, Mr. Sardella successfully cross-examined the arresting officer and established that the officer lacked the required reasonable suspicion to justify the vehicle stop.  Following oral argument, the District Judge concluded that the officer’s stop was unconstitutional and dismissed all charges.
